Habitat For Humanity Twitter Party

May 02, 2012 · By Sloane Davidson, Founder and CEO, Hello Neighbor

I’m so honored and thrilled to be hosting the very first Twitter Party for Habitat for Humanity and their partner Lowe’s on Thursday (May 3rd) from 2:00-3:30PM EST.

I would love your support promoting the event and also joining us in a robust conversation about affordable housing and the housing crisis facing women and children around the world and in the United States. You can join the conversation by adding the hashtag #WomenBuild to any tweet you send during the party. You can track and follow the conversation online by using that hashtag as well. You can find out more and even RSVP online. You can also prep now by following @habitat_org on Twitter.

If you’ve never been part of a Twitter Party before – or if you’re a regular – you’re in for a treat! We have an amazing lineup of affordable housing experts from Habitat for Humanity, their partners and awesome cause bloggers who are going to join us.

Why now? Because it’s the 5th annual National Women Build Week (May 5-13)! Sponsored by Lowe’s, National Women Build Week encourages women to devote at least one day to the effort to create affordable housing. Throughout the day, there will be tips for DIY home building and some great prizes giveaways.

Ok, so how do you participate again?

Spread the Word: Please help spread the word about the Twitter party. Below is a sample tweet you can cut and paste to share with your network: “Check it out: @Habitat_org is hosting #WomenBuild Twitter party w/ @Lowes & @sloane on May 3. Visit bit.ly/WBTwitterParty for details”

Hope to see many of you joining the conversation!
