I have a few really exciting projects I'm launching this fall - some for clients and some for myself. That's the way it is for a lot of us, working to create the life we want but also pay for the life we have. I'm lucky because I have amazing clients and I love the work we do together. Most of my projects combine social media and social good and that's my sweet spot.

Here are some quick updates to share...

Did you love camp as a kid? Hate it? I did both. My first experience was traumatic. It slowly turned into one of those jokes within my family where someone would make light of my situation and I would start to cry. Ouch. I always knew I would write about it and when Margit from TueNight told me that one of their summer themes was camp and invited me to share my story, I bit the bullet. You can read my story (How I tried to get kicked out of camp - and the life lesson I learned) HERE.

If there is one thing I'm extraordinarily good at, it's exploring my environment and surroundings. There are lots of things I'm not good at, but when it comes to looking around each corner for a new adventure that's my jam. I am a tourist of life. Fathom published my 5 little-known treasures of New York City (one for each borough). You can read about them (and hopefully put them on your to-do list) HERE.

Ryan Williams has a great podcast called The Influencer Economy. He reached out after he was forwarded my newsletter (very cool) and we got to talking and he asked if we could do an episode together. It can be strange to talk about how I got from point A to point B. My path is certainly not linear but I think a lot of people feel that way about themselves. I don't often talk through my whole career and reflect on how some of the twists and turns created the opportunities they did to allow me to live the life I have now. It was a lot of fun and I'd love for you to take a listen HERE.

Worlds colliding! The farm I've been volunteering/working on this summer, Hill Hollow Farm, took over Modern Farmer's Instagram for a week and I was featured a few times. Hill Hollow is also featured in the fall issue so pick up a copy.

It's going to be a busy fall. How can I help you make the most of it? Drop me a line at sloane(at)thecausemopolitan(dot)com.
