NANAYS ARE READING MY BLOG!!! I can die happy now!

I hope you have also seen all of the love I have showered on Talim Island because I truly love it there. I cried leaving for the last time this morning after basket weaving yesterday with Nany Sabiniana and fishing (well skylabbing!) at 4am today with Nanay Nanet.

I will keep you all in my hearts and pray to return one day to visit.

Love, Sloane

Thanks B! It's awesome. So much more to share, just hard to find the time to get it all down. Where is that cabin in the woods when I need it.

Laura, Olivia and Danielle - Thank you for your comments. It's funny how no matter where we all are, we can connect over these things like overcoming fear and living life to the fullest.

Sloane,

thanks for sending this post to me. It's an inspiring way to start my day--I'm sitting here smiling and taking notes from you. So often we (I) get caught up in fears (as you commenced your post), worries, doubts or dislikes instead of just feeling the beat and energy of life and the millions of people moving to it. I'm refreshed and energized. Thanks.

Sloane, this story truly captures what it feels to just "be," whatever that means or feels, up for the interpretation of each person feeling it. With each step we take, there is always some anxiety (or fear), but the good news, at least for me, is the more you "move," the easier it becomes to move. I often hear people telling stories of their worlds turning upside down, and the funny thing is that in the end after the turmoil settles, each person will tell a tale of with the same theme, personal growth. So you’re right! You really can’t go wrong. Knowing this doesn’t mean I’ve been able to fully digest it and fully integrate into my own life approach. But it’s an aspiration, and in that regard, Sloane, you are truly inspiring.

Wonderful post, Sloane...Helped me see things a bit differently in the face of questioning personal direction lately - I like your philosophy to "keep moving." Recently, I've tried to see that every day is part of the process and is unfolding exactly as it should - and whatever results is built on those experiences. This perspective takes some practice, but words like yours help remind me.

And thank you for the comment yesterday - you really are one of the people making things happen. Have a great week! - Laura
