Promotion Announcement

June 27, 2012 · By Sloane Davidson, Founder and CEO, Hello Neighbor

I’m so thrilled to announce my promotion to Senior Vice President of Digital Marketing at Lippe Taylor. It’s been an amazing journey at Lippe Taylor and this new role and challenge could not be more exciting.

Our President & CEO, Maureen Lippe, was kind enough to share a few words...

“Sloane has been invaluable in growing our social/digital team and expanding our capabilities. She is a true innovator and we’re lucky to have her on our team.”

I absolutely could not do what I do without the support of the best team I’ve ever had the privilege to work with and lead. The amazing women of the digital team are rockstars and I am, and will always be, their biggest cheerleaders. The sheer amount of work we get done every week is astonishing and they do it all with poise, creativity, tenacity and strategic thinking. There is also a lot of laughter, a good amount of puppy photos shared and a fair amount of hashtag inside jokes.

I did not know what would happen when I took a sideways step into an agency role a year and a half ago and moved deeper in beauty and lifestyle consumer marketing. I am still (and forever) passionate about cause but now it’s in a slightly different way. I put together campaigns and strategies for clients that include cause – when it makes sense – and that’s the key phrasing. I learn so much every day and never could have imagined how much I would love the beauty world. I have always been a “products” girl, but the difference is now I understand the science behind the products, the packaging, the marketing and above all how the digital frontier can launch those campaigns into high gear.

One example of a campaign I’m really excited about in beauty and cause actually launched today! Elizabeth Arden has launched the first “Pin It To Give It” campaign on Pinterest with their charitable partner, Look Good Feel Better. Mashable had the exclusive this morning. It’s a new and innovative way (in my opinion) to reach a new audience and talk about philanthropy in social media. I’m hoping it’s the social good windfall that will start a slew of campaigns in its likeness.

So there you have it! It’s been a busy, productive, disruptive and exciting start to 2012. We’re only half way through and the best is yet to come! Thank you to everyone for reading, for visiting, for your well wishes. I don’t get to blog nearly as much as I used to and I do miss it daily and dearly. But it’s always good to know that I have this place to come and to share exciting news with the world.
