My “Farewell for Now” Party – This Sunday!

New Orleans friends! How fast time flies when it’s festival season! You’ve let me into your homes and hearts and I’m incredibly bittersweet to have to leave you…for now.

Tiffany and Xtofer Starnes have generously offered to host part 1 of my farewell celebration with a Crawfish Boil Pool Party at their house. (Part 2 will continue at a bar TBD after the boil ends).

And…how cool is this?!? Johnson & Johnson has offered to donate $200 towards food and $100 as a donation to me for Kiva (keep reading).

My Kiva fellowship requires me to fundraise for the cost of my trip. I just recently posted about this, you can read more here.

To kick off this fundraising effort, yes I have that $100 from Johnson & Johnson. They are also sending gift bags for the ladies at the event (with yummy beauty products from their new line!) They were looking to promote this new line with small “hosted” parties and I am thrilled to be able to give them that platform in New Orleans!

I’m taking donations of any amount, a few dollars, more than a few dollars (!), and their will be a donation bucket at the Boil. Every little bit helps! Even if you can’t make it to the party or aren’t here in New Orleans, you can still make a donation!

So all the fixins will be provided but it is BYOB. So please bring libations – and be generous, enough to share with the group. It’s a pool party too and the water is perfect for jumping in so bring your suit.

We’re on New Orleans time, so feel free to pop in at any point during the afternoon!

Any questions, feel free to shoot them my way. Looking forward to seeing all of you on Sunday!
