First, my thanks to Sloane for including me. It’s an honor to be counted in this group of folks giving back. And, I can’t overstate how much Sloane’s work has inspired me. Sloane, you are wise WAY beyond your years. My hat is off to you.

And, to Denise, thank you. I am still at it. I didn’t reach my goal in a month, but I’m not discouraged at all. Congrats to you for raising $5000.!!! I’m thinking of making it $4500 instead of $450. And, like you, I’m envisioning rolling the repayments over to help more folks. Kiva is simply a wonderful tool for sharing the wealth and assisting people with hopes and dreams and the passion and energy to make them happen.

I encourage everyone to find a cause and celebrate your birthday by supporting it.

Les, congrats on your Kiva birthday fundraiser. I did the same last June with a goal to raise $5,000 for my 50th. It took me about 4 months (instead of 1 month). However, the team members keep on rolling loan repayments back into new loans so the cycle continues. In fact, I just made a new loan to my team today with repaid funds. I have no doubt you’ll meet your goal and then some.
