Everyone's comments mean so much to me. This was incredibly hard to write - and I'm touched that it connected with all of you. Thank you.

Your father was a nice man and I was honored to meet him. His red kitchen certainly illustrated his great character :) and the pictures of his daughters which he loved dearly spoke volumes. I often miss the old black and whites you kept around. He would be very proud of you. - NAW

Phew....I should have waited to read that until I got home. At work - gushing a bit.

Beautifully spoken and reminds me there are things I should say to my dad while I still have him living.

Sloane - what a beautiful post. I too lost my dad a few years ago and was very close to him. Gals that are close to dads are a special breed - we are lucky. You are doubly blessed you had two great men looking out for you. A good thinking to hold onto in tough times! Happy Birthday Les!

It is amazing to me my dear Sloane to see you share so much of your self in the world.
The greatest gift your Dad left; your strength to a long last let the world see behind the curtain. Luv u.
