I have so many pictures from my recent trip to Burma (or Myanmar, or The Union of Myanmar if you want to be specific). I thought I would let pictures speak a thousand words (as I’ve often seen done here and here) and just showcase some of my favorites from the first set (of three) that I posted on Flickr.

For the full set, look here. There are two more sets coming from Inle Lake and Rangoon. I also have some travel stories to tell. I’d like to think I take ok photos, but would love feedback from any more experienced photographers.

The biggest key to taking great photos is putting yourself into great situations; and then once you’re there, simply paying attention with an open eye and mind.

That’s the most important bit, and you obviously do that.

After that, the pictures are almost secondary :)

You’re absolutely right. That said, I would like to be better, not a surprise since I’m the first to say I’m a work in progress, but I think the first step is having fun with it. And I certainly did while traveling. Loved taking creative and different pictures. Thanks for noticing T.

Thanks Laura! Someday we’ll exchange stories in person, I promise!!
